Prevention
SVHI's prevention program is two-fold
Part One:
Working with local eyecare professionals SVHI assists in providing miniature eye exams to school children throughout the area in local communities
Part Two:
Utilizing our portable hearing screening equipment SVHI can provide a basic hearing screening to anyone 3 years and older
These programs enable difficulties in sight and hearing to be identified as early as possible, allowing treatment to prevent additional sensory loss from occurring.

Financial Assistance
Through our financial assistance program we enable clients living at 200% poverty level or below, to obtain prescription eyeglasses or hearing aids at little to no cost to them.
This is made possible through our local eye care professionals, Ball State University's Audiology Department and the Lion's Clubs affordable hearing aid program.
Education
SVHI is more than happy to provide education to our clients, family members, and other organizations. We offer presentations for clubs and civic organziations, in-service training for staff members, and publish a monthly insight newsletter for both the visually and hearing impaired.
